Rising Professionals: Volunteer Day

Join the Chamber Rising Professionals for an afternoon of volunteering with the Blue Ridge Area Food Bank.

Help us pack food boxes for low-income seniors enrolled in the Senior Food Box program, also known as the Commodity Supplemental Food Program (CSFP). Thanks to this program and your efforts, elderly neighbors can count on nutritious food every month. 

As part of an assembly-line effort, you will help by: 

• Packing boxes with food items
• Keeping the packing area stocked with the correct foods
• Inserting nutrition information in the boxes
• Labeling, sealing, and stacking boxes on pallets
• Breaking down empty boxes
• Ensure food distribution room and all storage space is clean and tidy after each shift

All individuals who volunteer with the Food Bank are required to create an account on the BRAFB volunteer website. Create an account using the join code below, then sign up for your shift.
