About First National Bank
Established in 1908, First National Bank is headquartered in Altavista, Virginia, and operates nineteen branches and one Loan Production Office in the Greater Lynchburg region, the City of Danville and Pittsylvania County, South Boston, and the City of Charlottesville. As of year-end 2024, the Bank’s total assets were $1,043,994,000 and it employed 186 people.

True to the spirit of community involvement, the First National Bank Community Impact Foundation (CIF) is an employee-led endowment and grant arm of the Bank. The CIF Committee is composed of employees from across the Bank’s service footprint and votes twice annually on 501(c)(3) (nonprofit) organizations whose work directly benefits the communities served by First National Bank. As of year-end 2024, the CIF had distributed $108,900 in charitable funds.
