Director of Selection and Development
Northwestern Mutual, a leader in helping clients achieve lifelong financial security, has an immediate opening for Director of Selection and Development. District includes Charlottesville and Lynchburg.
Responsible for all recruiting and public relation efforts of the district network office with primary responsibility for building high quality relationships in the community and to promote the brand, the career and generate referrals.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Organize and execute recruiting and selection of new financial representatives
Manage process and relationships through Bullhorn CRM
Oversee community and public relations to include sponsorships, advertising and digital media
Act as liaison to network office and company recruiting and marketing efforts
Prepare all interviews with notes of past meetings, agendas and results
Bachelor degree in business, sales, marketing, or similar
2-5 years of recruiting, marketing, sales or business development experience
Results oriented, self-motivated, professional, leadership skills
Community oriented, team player
Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to build rapport and influence.
Experience with prospecting: generating leads via phone or face-to-face interactions.
Demonstrated organizational and time management skills and ability to multitask, set priorities and meet deadlines.
Ability to proactively identify what needs to be accomplished and take action as appropriate.
Strong personal network and/or community involvement to leverage from a recruiting perspective
Ability to embrace change and work in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to work both independently and in a team.
Ability to maintain confidentiality.
